The Violinist

"So, tell me, sonny," the old man said, scratching his belly and wiggling his ears with an energy befitting a much younger man. "You's at all musical? Eh? Speak up, sonny."

Embarrassed, the young boy looked down at his feet, which were shuffling nervously. "Well," he said at length. "I do play a little violin."

Reaching into his pocket, he withdrew a stringed instrument the size of a toothpick and struck up a lively rendition of "Heartbreak Hotel."

...the old man, proving once again the posessed the energy of a man 75/150ths his age, danced a lively jig.

"Hey! That's a pretty good jig, Old Man!" said the boy.

"You keep that moutha yers closed, boy, and go back to the violinin'!" He waved a cane in the boy's direction. It was a threat.
