On the Road
Okay, folks. With the Michigan governor's race coming down to the wire, I've decided to kick off a week-long bus tour. I will be travelling the state, speaking with concerned citizens, such as Bertha McChortlepuss, who stated her feelings clearly by saying, "You suck!" and then offering me a pickle. Concerned about campaign finance reform laws, however, I refused the donation.
If you see me around, why not stop to wave with all fingers as I pass by? Oh, and don't hesitate to create Hart for Governor yard signs at your own expense and stick them in your neighbors' lawns in the dead of night. For more information about my run for the state's highest office, click here.

I don't know, PW. These days, sexual escapades among politicians seem lend a sense of notoriety to one's legacy. Might not be a bad way to go.
"Hart for Governor" is a terrible slogan. You will never be elected with that. How about "I [heart] Hart" or "Hart Has Heart" or "Vote Your Heart ... Vote Hart" or, best yet, "Vote for Hart and He'll Give you Money!"
ill make a sign that says "michigan needs more stoopid, vote craig hart for govenor" and i shall display it proudly in my front yard. i hope to confuse the neighbors with it. and tonight, this being all hallows eve-thingie, i will hide behind it and throw pickles at passing trick-or-treaters and yell "trick-or-treat aint an option this time naves!! muahahaha!"
When ya comin' to Riverdale?
Dan, "Hart for Governor" isn't my slogan. The actual slogan is "Because Michigan Needs More Stoopid." But I like your suggestions. Another option might be: "A Vote for Hart is a Vote for Stupidity."
The Girlfriend, That's an excellent idea and I appreciate the support. Halloween is a great time for my campaign, because I am not above scaring people into voting for me.
Muppers, I have already been to Riverdale. Where do you think I got the bus?
Don't leave State Rep. Doug Hart (R-Rockford) out of your plans. I'm sure he'd like to be co-governor or even vise-governor. If elected, he will bring his own vise.
In the 1980s, Rep. Hart appeared on Grand Rapids' cable access channel GRTV as a talk show host and as a goofy talk show host sidekick. Ask FooDaddy for the DVD.

I thought it looked familiar! I saw it in the river behind my neighbor's house.
Highly worth the effort, if you ask me, if you've got crabby elderly persons offering you pickles!
Make the Pickle Lady your veep, and you've got my vote!
